TUI Group planning to significantly increase its Cyprus investment
TUI Group unveiled it is planning to significantly increase its investment on the island, beginning from the Summer 2019 period
Among the developments are new flights from Frankfurt and Düsseldorf to Cyprus, and providing a total of 220 hotels island-wide.
Included among the Group’s expanding accommodation offering are Cypriot-owned hotels, within which the company holds shares.
HIGH QUALITY
Stefan Baumert, Chief Operating Officer at TUI Germany, outlined: “I consider the prospect of increasing the tourism flow from Germany to Cyprus as very important as the destination respects all our prerequisites.
“The quality of tourist services offered is high, and the climatic conditions during the winter are much better than other Mediterranean destinations. Its cultural and natural diversity also offer a wide range of options for all targeted groups.”
PRESENTATION
In Cyprus and Hannover, joint TUI and Cyprus Tourism Organisation presentations for the upcoming Winter 2018-19 programme were given to around 60 media representatives from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The media representatives visited the island on a familiarisation trip and experienced various educational excursions to better acquaint themselves with the destination and promote it to their respective audiences.
With more than 500,000 tourist arrivals per year, TUI Group is among the most important travel agents and tour operators for Cyprus’ tourism industry.
